I first met Lauren two years ago while we were both studying a postgraduate paper in child and adolescent mental health. What I loved (and still do) about Lauren is her sass and witty sense of humour, she definitely made those long days at Uni so much easier. So when she asked me to photograph her wedding I was absolutely stoked! I knew from the get-go their wedding was going to be amazing!!
Lauren & Nigel said "We do" in front of their family and friends at their local Boating Club in the heart of Te Atatu Peninsula, West Auckland. Despite their ceremony being forced inside due to some ambivalent showering– their DIY wedding was just as beautiful as ever. We were spoilt with some beautiful light and massive bouts of laughter throughout the day (From the meat raffle, bridal prep and shoot even through the ceremony – this was a first for me!!). I had so much fun, it was truly a privilege to witness the matrimony of two beautiful and very hip humans! Thank you both for choosing me!
So I will leave my words at that, and let the images speak for themselves. If you would like to read more about this beautiful day - the little details and words from the wise bride herself just click the link at the bottom as this wedding was also featured in the wedding blog, Truly and Madly ☺
